Working alongside various partners on a multitude of transactions, Robert V. Glaser had a role as a member of one of the teams responsible for notable investments, one of these investments being the department store chain Peebles.
Peebles has been owned by department store company Stage Stores since 2003. Stage Stores specializes in retailing brand name apparel, accessories, cosmetics, footwear, and housewares around the country. As for Peebles, it operates a number of stores largely within the upper-midwestern and eastern areas of the United States. These areas/states include New York, Alabama, Massachusetts, North Carolina, Illinois, New Hampshire, and more.
After seeing significant expansion, Peebles would go on to acquire Harveys Department Stores in the late 1980s. In the 1990s, it further expanded after purchasing a chain called Watson’s. The Harveys and Watson’s names were both eventually phased out and changed to Peebles.
Today, Peebles sells a variety of apparel for men, women, and children as well as housewares, accessories, and cosmetics. It also features several exclusive brands including Rebecca Malone, Sun River, and Wishful Park.
